MyBlogLog + Yahoo! ID + Mash = My New Avatar

TechnologyUh. So a while back MyBlogLog, which was acquired by Yahoo! a while back, are finally requiring people to use a Yahoo! ID to log into MyBlogLog. So today, I logged in (first time in a while) and merged my Yahoo! ID with my MyBlogLog account.

Cautionary Blog Advertising Tales

BlogsHere are two posts regarding the subject of blog advertising that I found interesting:

David Airey who believes his blog is being penalized by Google in their search results as the result of a few paid links. The item of contention seems to be the lack of “nofollow” on said paid links, implying that his site was giving an SEO benefit to them for cash.

My 1,000th Post

WebomaticaWoohoo. Hard to believe, but this is post number 1,000.

I think this blog is now about a year and a half old and it’s been an entertaining ride.

Highlights: Three front page diggs, links from Valleywag / Techmeme / various others, iPhone correspondent in the field, writing for the Blog Herald, contests, funny / unique responses to posts.

Lowlights: Disparaging comments, scads of spam, site going down, fatigue.
