Is Apple Screwing Up?

AppleApple - everyone’s favorite company - seems to have garnered a slight amount of unwarranted, negative press recently - take this Fortune piece that calls Apple TV a “dud” and this one about Apple’s “engage and contain” strategy. It seems what started all this speculation was the iPhone pricing “mistake” that made Apple suddenly fallible. Now we have the “iBrick” - and once an opening is created, the nay-sayers pile in.

Whatever.

An Apple Newton? Full OS X Please

AppleI’ll make this post brief. First off, the whole PDA thing as we know it IMHO has been killed off with the iPhone. So initially, I’m inclined to paint this whole rumor of reviving the Apple Newton as totally bats. Steve Job’s chair doesn’t need another leg, and iPhone is about as good as a PDA could ever be.

OS X Leopard Will Exclude 800 MHz G4 And Slower

AppleGee, I guess we replaced our G4 iMac just in time. According to Apple Insider, Apple has just updated the minimum system requirements for OS X Leopard (coming out in October - fingers crossed) to an Intel processor, G5, or G4 867 MHz or faster.
