Our new apartment is within walking distance to the San Mateo movie theaters, so we decided to check out The Devil Wears Prada, a fashion farce based on a book. Anne Hathaway plays Amanda, a recent college grad who becomes assistant to Meryl Streep’s fashion journalist nightmare boss from hell.

WWDC: No Surprises from Apple

Maybe it was the Monday blahs, but nothing insanely great was announced at Apple’s WWDC yesterday. Mac Pros are great machines but totally expected. Also expected were the endless Leopard demos and lots of features that look cool, but if you think about them a bit more, aren’t really going to change my life or improve what I do on a daily basis.

Apple WWDC Rumors and Predictions

The first day of Apple’s WWDC is tomorrow, and there will be new product announcements from Apple in the morning. Many rumors are flying about, new iPods, new PowerMacs, and the next operating system Leopard.

Music Notes: AFI, December Underground

These guys are supposedly really popular and I guess they’re from California, too. Seems to be a hybrid of punk and goth. The songs ocassionally deviate from standard Green Day crunchers, some sounding like the Clash and another (probably my favorite) reminding me of an 80s flashback to The Cure, Asia, and Erasure.
