Carrier IQ Not As Scary On iOS
Lots of grumbling regarding software called Carrier IQ on smartphones, that allegedly tracks a lot of your activity including location, phone numbers dialed, and keystrokes. This software appears on both Android and iPhones. I am awaiting more information before posting about the ethics involved, but it’s already clear that the software isn’t as privacy-flaunting on iOS. AllThingsD quotes a response from Apple as follows:
Susan Kare Icon Sketchbook
Susan Kare has an “art book” entitled The Sketchbook of Susan Kare featuring icon work done for the original Macintosh back in the day. Because of the limited, black and white graphics, design work could be done with nothing more than graph paper and markers.
