After seeing Ratatouille I thought a second look was in order for The Incredibles, a Pixar animated extravaganza also directed by Brad Bird. It’s a near perfect combination of epic adventure and funny family melodrama.

I really, really enjoyed Ratatouille, about a French rat that can cook. It’s almost unfair to compare all the excellent Pixar films, but I preferred this French culinary fantasy to Cars, and consider it on the same level as The Incredibles, also directed by Brad Bird. Ratatouille will surely be a pleasure for the “foodies” out there, and the core idea that anybody can be successful with passion, fits well amid the Disney animated legacy.

Superman from the seventies is a classic blockbuster film which I probably watched a hundred times as a child. Everyone’s favorite illegal alien is a superhero with awesome powers, that he must learn to use responsibly while discovering their limitations.
The movie is broken into three main parts. The first takes place on the planet Krypton with Jor-El (Marlon Brando), Superman’s father, doling out punishment to General Zod, establishing a theme of justice.
