Trying A Different Front Page Design

I write way too many posts that fall off the front page before I’d like, so I’m playing around with a slighty different front page design. It’s basically showing 15 excerpts with cute little icons. The category and search results pages look the same.

Bloggers Blogging, Negativity, and Disclosure

I had a feeling Valleywag was going to say something negative about the Scoble why-didn’t-you-link-to-me thing, and I was right, but I was certainly surprised by the negativity, number of posts (four), even taking a low blow by analyzing traffic numbers, and comparing Scoble to John Kerry. Just Upgraded to WordPress 2.1

Well, I just took the dive into the future with WordPress 2.1, after a bit of looking-before-leaping. Even as I write this post I’m noticing enhancements all over the place. The box I’m typing these words into has a nice tabbed interface between code and a visual editor.

Site Traffic And The Steady Paycheck

There’s a bit of discussion concerning the traffic from Digg versus from other social sites. I thought I’d toss in two cents as I’ve had experience with traffic spikes from several sources, namely Digg, Valleywag, Shoutwire, Techmeme, and Megite.
