The new version of Mountain Lion is rumored to drop as early as next week Tuesday (July 25th), or not soon after since July is nearly over. Anyhow, I’ve wanted to upgrade my desktop Mac for quite some time, but haven’t what with no (decent) upgrade during this year’s WWDC.
Now working remotely, there are few things about the office I miss, but one is the dual-monitor set up – I had two, identical twenty-something inch Dell monitors. At home I have two Samsung monitors, but they’re different models / sizes that are no longer made. And so I was thinking about getting two identical ones. And of course I thought about Apple monitors. But my first thought upon visiting the Apple Store was, gee, $999 for one monitor? That’s actually more than many televisions. And two would be, well, forget it.
