A New Google Mission Statement

January 25th, 2012

Heavy sigh.

Now that it’s clear Google wants to turn into Facebook and updated their privacy policy with no opt-out to match, perhaps they should update their mission statement to be more in line with their new, true purpose.

Here’s my attempt:

“Google’s (new) mission is to organize its users’ information and make it universally accessible and useful to advertisers.”

Oh, and maybe replace the increasingly inaccurate credo “don’t be evil” with “don’t complain — it’s free.”

Meanwhile, check out DuckDuckGo. Clean interface. They don’t collect your personal information. A breath of fresh air — like Google once was.
