Clooney, Wyle Want To Play Jobs
Rumor regarding the Steve Jobs biopic: both Noah Wyle and George Clooney want to play El Jobso. Amusing as both actors played doctors on the long-running ER. I am of course partial to Wyle due to his Jobs-approved handling of the role in Pirates of Silicon Valley, but Clooney has more serious-role credibility, plus he’d be better at the darker aspects. That said, Clooney doesn’t look the part — a bit too recognizable and handsome. And I wonder if he’d be able to lose a ton of weight for the later years.
My votes: Daniel Day Lewis, Christian Bale, or Ryan Gosling.
I think it’d be interesting to have both — Wyle for young Steve, and Clooney for Steve’s comeback.
Heh, although since Wyle is the thinner of the two, maybe it’d be Wyle = young and older steve, with Clooney playing the 1999 era Jobs…

I love Clooney, but he’s not the right choice for this. And since Noah Wyle already did Steve Jobs before, I seriously doubt that he or anyone else really wants to do it again.
Want some out of the box thinking? Jason Bateman. He’d have to lose some weight for the later years, but he has the right facial shape and dry wit.
Hmm Bateman is an interesting choice… not sure I totally agree since I’ve mostly seen him in comedy roles, but you’re right about the looks… also his voice is an okay pitch.
Does his acting sister Justine show up as Mona Simpson, I wonder…
