On No Mac Pro
Apple Insider floats a rumor that Apple’s Mac Pro may be discontinued due to declining sales.
I can’t believe Apple would discontinue their Pro desktops completely, and the phrase “in its current form” may be a hint as to how the line could change. There’s obviously a large space between the most expensive Mac Mini ($799) and the cheapest Mac Pro ($2499) for a desktop tower sans monitor that sits beside the Mac Mini line.
It’s possible sales indicate pretty much everyone wanting a middle-of-the-road desktop is purchasing iMacs, but after owning two Mac Minis, it would be nice to get one with more oomph.
