On Steve Jobs’ Biography
The upcoming biography — now titled “Steve Jobs” — by Walter Isaacson has been bumped up to late October, and there’s no question I’ll read it cover to cover as soon as possible.
But an odd feeling: if this were any other book, I’d get the Kindle or iBooks edition; no question. But here I pause, wanting the hard cover (dead tree) version for some subconscious, reptilian reason — to add to the dusty collection of other Apple-related books like a shrine, or have something physical to hold since we all just received a chilly reminder of life’s impermanence.
So: I’ll likely purchase both: the hard cover for the ages and the eBook version to carry across all my iDevices. That way, Jobs will be present everywhere I go.
