Still Intent On Getting An iPhone 4, Despite The Antenna Issue
Perhaps my Apple freak flag is flying here, but I do have some casual research to back it up.
I acknowledge the antenna issue is real. But none of the handful of iPhone 4 owners I personally know are returning them, nor any iPhone 4 owning Twitter followers, nor a hundred commenters polled by MG Siegler of TechCrunch.
I don’t deny there are some iPhone 4 users that have returned their iPhones because of the antenna issue. But they seem to be in the minority.
If the antenna issue was really so tragic, I’d expect to see way more returns.
I’m betting the positives of the iPhone 4 — faster processor, better screen, better camera, HD video, Face Time — will outweigh any reception problems. Conveniently, I’m already used to crappy reception with my current iPhone 3G. And I can always fall back on a bumper or some duct tape.
Some are already speculating that this antenna issue will impact sales to people interested in the iPhone but haven’t bit the bullet yet. All I can say is I’m not part of that statistic.
If you, hapless blog reader, have an iPhone 4 and returned it because of the antenna issue, please let me know.
[…] Plain facts regarding the number of returns, corroborating some personal research – No iPhone 4 owner I know has returned theirs. […]
