The Week With Just An iPhone: Unproductive But Fun

November 28, 2009

Back from a trip where I tried to make do with just an iPhone for an entire week; some observations:

The Good

The Bad

Conclusion

Although the iPhone is excellent at providing mobile entertainment, the MacBook will have to come along for future trips if I need to get any actual work done. But the ideal vacation means getting away from work, and making do with just an iPhone may be a good way to limit oneself to just the fun stuff.

  1. How could you spend a whole week with an i-phone only? Its a great wonder for me ,but you people can do any thing.Everything has both the sides i.e. good and bad ,so we have to feel bad as well as good.

I just picked up one of these – I haven't yet killed my iPhone's battery, but for $20 (it's on sale), it seemed like a better idea than one of the $100 chargers.

I plan to pack it along the next time I'm in NYC for the day. Don't think I'll need it, but can't hurt.

Thanks for the recommendation – am leaning toward this Tekkeon TekCharge thing: http://www.tekkeon.com/products-tekcharge1800.html – can charge stuff other than just an iPhone.

Oh, neat. Thing is, I think my iPhone's replaced all of those other things. :)

  5. i am interested in the iphone 4, i hear it reviews well despite some initial tech issues.
