iPhone App: Roach Madness

= 2 stars
Roaches, roaches, gross icky roaches everywhere. Smash as many as possible with your fingers, via the iPhone touch screen.
The Good
- Detailed graphics; the various roaches and bugs are uncomfortable to tap on and squash because they look so photo realistic.
The Bad
- By definition, on the repetitive side. Despite a fair number of bonuses and different types of bugs, not enough to warrant truly addictive, repeat gameplay.
- I grew up with roaches and bugs of various types in Hawaii, and these bugs don’t behave similarly — they basically run in straight lines. Would like to see them make erratically curving arcs and squiggles, and if there was a near miss, have them run twice as fast in the opposite direction.
Conclusion
Decent game in terms of gameplay and graphics, but personally doesn’t rise above novelty. Perhaps I’ve whacked too many real, live German cockroaches with a slipper in my lifetime.
