WWDC 2009 Predictions

June 8th, 2009

Only half an hour to go, but I’ll just toss this out there.

  • New iPhones – 8GB at $199, 16GB and 32GB for more dollars. 4GB model for $150. Hardware will be faster processor, better camera, that compass. Available now.
  • Tweaks to AT&T pricing, hopefully cheaper monthly rate.
  • iPhone 3.0 software, available now. Numbers about how many iPhone apps have been downloaded and demos of cool upcoming apps.
  • Demos of Snow Leopard, pricing and availability announced for sometime really soon.
  • Steve Jobs won’t appear in person, but will be worked into a demo somehow – say some Apple exec calling Steve up on an iPhone or something. Maybe there will be a live video chat so the world can see if he’s gained any weight.
  • No tablet or other updates, all to be saved for later when Steve Jobs returns.

That’s all I’ll commit to; look forward to being wrong.

Very exciting keynote. Lotsa good stuff so far.

Wish Apple would get off the single US carrier. That's my one big wish (unlikely to come true this time around).

That was a fast refresh on the MBP line!
