Webomatica Plans For 2009
December 23rd, 2008
For those of you who stuck with this blog through all of 2008, I’m sure you noticed it went through a transition as I slowed significantly on technology / Web 2.0 stuff, moving toward more entertainment. I hope to be more consistent in 2009, and am therefore presenting this preview of what’s already in the works for the new year.
- Technology: Continuing with all things Apple, digital video nirvana, and iPhone App reviews.
- Movies: More user-suggested reviews, “series” posts devoted to particular directors, and better movies as I re-dedicate myself to reviewing the AFI-100.
- Television: The final, fourth season of Battlestar Galactica. Season three of Mad Men. Episode reviews of Arrested Development.
- More contests.
- Not through any initiative of my own, this site is now hosted at “The Planet.”
- New blog design, with less cruft (widgets, scripts, extra code) to improve load time. It will feature dedicated landing pages for the most popular subjects.
- In keeping with the new blog direction, I stepped down as writer for The Blog Herald.
Lastly, if you have any great ideas for iPhone App or movie reviews, drop me a line at jason(at)webomatica.com. I’ve already received some interesting suggestions, which will hit the blog in due time. And thanks again for reading.
Hey, no worries, dude. It's your blog – write about whatever you'd like.
Thanks for keeping this place going, I've learned about some neat stuff here (and had some very interesting discussions). And your opinions on movies are dead-on, too.
Have a great holiday (if you're celebrating), and here's to a happy and healthy new year!
Hey Mike happy holidays to you as well! I've also learned stuff from
some of you that comment on the blog. We'll keep sharing information
throughout 2009.
I've enjoyed watching Webomatica expand and evolve Jason. See you round the way in '09 !
Thanks, same goes for onlinemediacultist. Blogging is still fun, aint it?
