Interesting: iPhone App: Wurdle

Looking for a simple, fun iPhone game? Wurdle is an iPhone game where you’re presented with a grid of letters and have to identify as many words as possible by connecting adjacent letters in a set amount of time. It’s basically an iPhone version of the classic word / board game Boggle. My pal Dave over at Fanpop told me about this game and I’ve been lost in “Wurdle land” ever since.
The Good
- Makes good use of the touch screen. To identify a word, you just trace your finger over the letters in sequence.
- Lots of customization options: different tile designs (even an option to use a photograph), background images, grid sizes, and timers.
- At game’s end, Wurdle will identify words and present a list so you can measure your ineptitude.
- A two player mode where you can measure your ineptitude against another person.
- Shake your iPhone to reset the board.
- A high score list keeps track of your ineptitude.
The Bad
- Be forewarned: Wurdle is darned addicting. I’ve already played it for nearly an hour straight during my morning commute.
Conclusion
Wurdle is well worth the relatively low price of $1.99. Highly recommended if you enjoy word games.

Yes this game is super addictive. Yes I have played much more than I care to admit. Still, there is so much room for improvement. I would like to see longer words, bigger boards and maybe some more elements of reward, then the game might actually keep me out of my online scrabble games!
