- TwitArcs: Website that compiles tweets and draws arcs between common words.
- Twitter in USAToday: More mainstream awareness can’t hurt, unfortunately Twitter was down on Monday.
- Awesome Balloon Sculptures: Tons of balloons used to create giant undersea life, organs, or insect-like creatures.
- Why Silicon Valley Should Be Worried: Online advertising doom, gloom, credit crunch, falling home prices, yeah - was that an earthquake?
- Starbucks: Devastated Latte Lovers Want To Save The Evil Corporation: You know how every “how to save money” list advises “eliminate the latte”? Now that it’s frugal-time, you bet sales are down at Char-bucks. I personally don’t mind; there are too damned many where we live. Reality check: Starbucks is an evil corporation, getting us additcted to a brown liquid that at $4 a latte, is more expensive than gasoline. And we complain about gas prices? Time to research alternative fuels, indeed!
- The Japanese iPhone Is Different: Yep Japan is a strange and wonderful place.
- Very pointless new Microsoft thingie: Note to nerds: desks aren’t shaped like globes for practical reasons. Giant round ball that you touch is a terrible idea.
- List of problems with Cuil: 1) No idea how to pronounce it. 2) No idea how to spell it, hence lowering odds I’ll ever remember the URL. 3) First I saw of it: people labelling it “FAIL” on FriendFeed and Twitter. 4) Tried it. Results sucked. 5) Saying you’re “taking on Google” is just asking for a smackdown. Conclusion: Will not use Cuil again out of sheer annoyance.
- She And Him: Pondering - if She and Him fought The Bird and The Bee, who would win?
- New Apple Product = Complaints Regarding Cosmetics: Not sure if this is a big deal or not, but pics are surfacing of tiny cracks in the iPhone 3G plastic body - much more noticeable on the white 16 GB model. While I feel for these folks, Apple cosmetic issues are nothing new.
- The FriendFeed 250: Yeah, these leaderboards and stats are getting really old.
- The iPhone 3G: The Honest Review. In agreement with pretty much everything here.
- Warning: Carriers See 3G As A Golden Goose: I’m already signed up to bend over for better performance.
- I’m Quitting Bitchmeme And Going Carrier Pigeon Only: MG criticizes Calacanis’ eschewing of blogging for an email list.
