I’m Back on Twitter: Blame The iPhone

A few months ago I “quit twitter” or, more specifically, did a personal boycott because their downtimes were making the service unusable.

I did leave myself an out by saying the boycott would last “until they get their act together.” Uptime has improved - I haven’t seen as many “twitter is down” jokes floating across FriendFeed, so kudos are due there, but a bigger reason why I’m back is: the iPhone.

Basically, the very slick iPhone app Twitterific offers the ability to tweet from anywhere, and even upload pictures taken with the iPhone camera to TwitPic. It’s easy, fun, and the possibility of “mobile-microblogging” is intriguing, and I plan to explore it further.

So yeah - I’m back on Twitter and it’s mostly because of the iPhone and the Twitterifiic app. Here’s my twitter page, and I hope to pull in the tweets into this blog proper, or they’ll float by on FriendFeed.
