According to Valleywag, if you do the fuzzy math on the new 3G iPhone at $199 plus the AT&T contract data plan ($30 a month), plus unlimited text messages ($20 a month), plus Apple’s Mobile Me, you get a total of $1,237 for your spanking new Jobsian tiki doll.

That number set off some bells in my head. So if one gets the white 16GB model ($299) for a hundred smackaroonies more, your grand total is: $1,337.

L33t indeed. That magic number and all that it implies may just ring up another kazillion sales of the 16 GB 3G iPhone, heretoforth referred to as the “L33t” model.
