OR EMAILSix Apart Launches Facebook App Blog It
I’m no longer on Facebook but I know there are some bloggers who spend a lot of time cultivating their zombies and superwalls. Six Apart just launched a free FaceBook app called Blog It that may make your blogging more efficient. Basically, it lets you write posts and update your blogs while in Facebook.
I checked out the demo video and one of its strengths is to post to multiple blogs and publish a Twitter tweet or update Pownce simultaneously from within the confines of Facebook. This may be useful for bloggers who post links to their blog posts using Twitter. The more notable sites supported are Blogger, TypePad, Twitter, Movable Type, Vox, and WordPress.
Says David Recordon of Six Apart:
“Blog It is one of the few applications that takes content created inside Facebook and makes it available for use outside Facebook… this is a concrete step away from the silos and walled gardens of the past and toward the open web of the future.”
I’m all for that.
