Battlestar Galactica: Good News on Season 4

February 11th, 2008

The writer’s strike is nearing an end, and the writers got a good increase in their online distribution royalties (yay). But there’s also some additional good news regarding Battlestar Galactica from the 2GuysTalking Television Review Blog:

What We’re Hearing: The crown jewel of the Sci Fi Channel should finish out its fourth and final season, but per writer Jane Espenson, it’s almost certain that, schedule-wise, the story will be split into two separate miniseasons. The show completed 14 episodes before the strike hit, and at least the first 10 will air beginning Apr. 4. The second batch could premiere in the fall or even sometime in 2009.

A sigh of relief from my tiny corner of the universe.

That is great news! I'm quivering with excitement over this... here's to hoping that there aren't any glitches in getting the entire season produced (e.g. actors backing out of the final episodes due to a contractual loophole).
