Webomatica Posting Schedule For 2008
Perhaps the more astute of you have noticed I’ve implemented a weekly blogging schedule. The last time I tried this it imploded rather quickly, but so far I’ve stuck to the plan. Here’s what you can look forward to each morning:
- Sunday: Classic movie post — I’m moving all my really old, non-AFI movie reviews into the blog proper. These are old articles (some several years’ old) but I doubt any regular readers of the blog have read them.
- Sunday: I’ll start with Star Trek The Original Series episode reviews sometime in March.
- Monday: Twin Peaks. Until I’m driven mad by the backwards-talking midget.
- Tuesday: Interesting website review. Most likely a Web 2.0 site but it could be a blog or other fun web property.
- Wednesday: The IT Crowd Season One, followed by weekly music reviews.
- Thursday: Link Sharing. I hope to find more unique content via the feeds of MyBlogLog community members, Twitter, FriendFeed, and blog commenters.
- Friday: Battlestar Galactica Season One and Two. When Season 4 starts I’ll follow that as well.
- Saturday: Webomaticomic.
This will lay the foundation for regular, non time sensitive posts, over which will be the usual mix of technology and other random stuff.
Other changes: I’ve simplified movie reviews into four sections: Synopsis, The Good, The Bad, and Conclusion. Bullet points are quicker to write and easier to read.
Contests: I just had a contest number 4 which came and went much too quickly. I hope to have several more this year, based loosely on the rate at which those Google checks keep arriving.
Anyhow, thanks for reading and I hope to make your visits worthwhile.
That’s a good idea to outline your blog schedule like that. I mean, many people figure it out on their own, but it’s good to lay it out there for those who don’t or just as a reminder to yourself.

[…] going to take a cue from Webomatica and make a blog posting schedule. So here is how I’m hoping to […]
A blogging schedule is a really good idea. I have been blogging more lately but I have a ton of blogs that require me to post frequently so I guess I will be also setting up a schedule. Thanks for this post, it got me inspired.
