Webomatica Contest 4: Leave Comment 4,000 And Win 40 Bucks
Yeah so my third contest self destructed out of lack of interest for all involved. As a token of my interest in reviving the Webomatica contest idea (and sharing ad revenue) here’s number 4, a really quick contest that will wrap up really soon now. I’d estimate we’re about a day or two away.
Rules:
- Just leave a comment on this blog, any post (not necessarially this one), and if you’re #4,000 you win 40 bucks — probably as a gift certficate to Amazon or iTunes or something like that.
- You have to leave a valid email address so I can contact you.
- I’ll delete all sploggy spammy comments so they won’t count as the #4,000.
- So act now, don’t delay, as mentioned before we’re only about 20 or so comments away from #4,000.

Update: The contest is over — Jon left the winning comment on an old Flash tips post. Congrats to Jon and I believe he was a total “drive by” visitor to the blog who had no idea the contest was even running. Thanks to all who participated, and the next contest will hopefully occur for comment #5,000!

Oops… I forgot about the last contest. I don’t think you’ll have a problem encouraging entries to this one, but for future contests you may want to set a time limit for entries (say, one week) and then write a short reminder post or two as entry period comes to an end. I had meant to contribute a few ‘bad’ game ideas to the last contest, but it just slipped my mind.

Ah yeah … that’s good advice to set aside a set time and reminder posts. I obviously haven’t done as much for this contest #4 either. I just realized the blog was nearing 4,000 comments today.
