Webomatica November Update, Link Sharing
November 30th, 2007
This has been a bumpy month for this blog, as my posting lagged due to holiday business and I took a few days after Thanksgiving off. The blog also rendered itself inaccessable twice. I’m also off coffee and diet soda which leaves my brain foggy and numb. Still, Webomatica managed to pass 40K uniques which is the second highest amount of traffic “evar.” The most was back in February where I had a front page Digg and made it up to 44K, and I’m looking forward to breaking 44K without any Digg activity, at this rate, early next year.
However, with a more cynical analysis, I’m 99% sure the vast majority of this traffic is spammers, bots, or some other nefarious activity – especially considering the number of comments and subscribers – I think the number of regular readers is below a hundred. I’m certain the vast majority of the 40K is useless traffic or people who visit once through Google, never to return again.
But I’m not really complaining, since I’m still just doing this for fun – as long as I can cover hosting costs and not be called a moron by the rest of the blogosphere on a weekly basis – I shall persevere.
But anyhow, the top commetators for November were:
- Dave of Fanpop
- Slammerworm (leaves some really insightful comments on the James Bond movies)
- MG Sigler (ParisLemon and Galacticaphile)
- JC (The real fake Steve Jobs)
- Ross (Over 50 kabillion Mac users helped)
Next month I’ll do a more substantial year-end review of this blog’s stats over this second year of blogging, and what has worked and what hasn’t. It has definitely been amusing to say the least.
