Link Sharing: 10/31/07
Been a bit busier than normal over the past few weeks, so the blogging lapsed a bit. Apologies. But here’s another installment of what I’ve found amusing out there on the Internets, plus an update of the past month Webomatica-wise.
Top October Commentators:
- Ever-present and dedicated Dave of Fanpop (16)
- Mysterious Slammerworm, James Bond fan (11)
- Urbanist (7)
- DaveD (6)
- Steven Hodson (Mr. WinExtra) (5)
Traffic: Effectively tied last month with 36K uniques.
Regularly Scheduled Link Sharing:
- Google cracks $700, Apple is near $200, but oil nears $95, gold hits $800, and the US dollar is on a race to the bottom. So it seems the big loser is the American consumer that can’t afford any of the first four items.
- Ross at Simplehelp decides BlogRush ain’t worth it.
- This is possibly the strangest thing I’ve read in a while.
- Proof that Google is evil. This isn’t really a problem anymore as the stock just cracked $700.
- Which of Microsoft’s Vista justifications are justified.
- Google’s OpenSocial sounds cool, but just consider the privacy implications.
Disclosure: My friend Dave is a founder of FanPop. I have no financial interest in the company.
Front Page
OK my nickname does start to feel generic when there’s “Mysterious Slammerworm, James Bond fan” on the list
And yes, that was a very, very strange link … I’ll thank you for sharing it once my brain comprehends what I just read!
Sorry Jase, I can’t help it (re: ever-present). I find that commenting on your blog has replaced emailing you about stuff. Now it’s more like public email.
The only downer is that you control the topic of conversation in our 2-way exchange since I usually feel like it would be inappropriate for me to go too far off-topic.
Curiously, this blog is my only contact point with Mr. Sang Kim, our other high-school buddy who reads this blog post.
Maybe webomatica needs a dedicated forum
@ urbanist : I think your site says it all so I felt coming up with some nickname was unneeded
@ dave : heh no problem - I just think it’s amusing . Gee, actually I could look up Sang’s email if he left in on here…
I’d be a little scared to see what the forum topics would look like - worst movies of all time? Ridiculous Battlestar Galactica theories?
The name’s just ‘Slammerworm’. I’m really kind of ordinary, and Bond’s cool but I’ll take a good horror flick first. Yep. Great site!
