Webomaticast 0: New iPods, Bad Movie Contest

August 29th, 2007

WebomaticastHere’s a first “proof of concept” experiment towards creating a Webomatica podcast. I ramble on for a while about new iPods and the Bad Movie Contest I just wrapped up.

Webomaticast #0

To record I used Garageband in Apple’s iLife, which is relatively easy. I also dug out the old Mackie mixer and a trusty Shure SM-57 microphone. My first attempt was with the MacBook’s internal microphone which was truly bad.

Anyway, if a handful of readers find this amusing I’ll continue. I think I have it in me to do this once a week, and the subjects will be about things I wrote about in blog posts - technology, movies, or music.

Here are some links to what I talk about in this one:

Paris Lemon: Beatles on iPod
WinExtra: Inspired me to try this out
Podophile: Winner of the So Bad It’s Good movie contest
Google Video: Plan 9 From Outer Space

Disclosure: The above reference to “Paris” could be Paris the city, Paris Gellar from Gilmore Girls, ParisLemon the blogger, or Paris Hilton. I have no financial relationship with any of them.

I enjoyed the first one Jason - good to put a voice to a style of writing, brings a whole new dynamic now to reading your posts. Definitely keep it up, see where it goes.
