I was thinking about how one of the former Suck writers Owen Thomas is now working at Valleywag and how I enjoyed reading the Suck style of dense, bold humor back in the days following Web 1.0. I thought I’d share some of the sites I turn to for some laughs every once in a while.

• Beats Entropy: More specifically, there’s this guy AJ Valliant that writes some really off the wall stuff I wish I had the guts to come up with on my own. In particular I find myself chuckling at the Greatest Men posts, specifically the question: Did they ever kill a man? It’s just so manly to kill other men.
• Fake Steve Jobs: No surprise I read this one. I like it when he gets hot and bothered, and how Valleywag can’t figure out the author’s identity.
• The Zero Boss: No holds barred WTF commentary on everything from politics to suburbia to bicycles.
• I Am Facing Foreclosure: Schadenfrude at its best. It’s the combination of clueless denial and the comments. Casey Serin came back to the states only to find his family pissed at him. So he’s selling the blog to pay off debts, but something is going wrong with that deal to make him angry. It never ends = funny.
• Just recently started reading the randomly funny The Gospel According to Rhys. He’s in the UK which doubles the wit quotient automatically.
• I Can Haz Cheezburger.
• Sorry, I’ve been spending much time reading uncov to keep the edge.
• The Museum of Hoaxes.

Lastly, The Onion is always good for a laugh, and they’ve been deploying more videos that perfectly mimic CNN with a cute, detailed sense of humor. Even the fake stories that scroll by on the ticker tape are jokes. Here’s a good one about the crash of the Internet.
