Yeah I never played 1.2 – been playing 1.5. I really only like the range of the dart tower but am concentrating on just squirt towers, plus towers, and anti air and freeze.

I haven’t found dart towers to be all that useful. After a bunch of experimentation, I try to strategically deploy squirt towers around freeze towers and build them up to the highest level as quickly as possible. I didn’t bother with air defense towers for a while, but I think they were key in getting me over the hump of getting past the level 50 (on the 100 level challenge) and level 72 humps. I’m hitting a wall now around the level 80 mark.

This is all on v. 1.2 by the way. I haven’t had time to figure out the new towers available on v. 1.5… and that’s probably a good thing!
