iPhone Insanity: Three Days Until iDay
More nutty links from all over the place.
- The iSmudginator: see how the iPhone looks with fingerprints all over it.
- Someone is already making some little, cool games that should work on the iPhone.
- San Francisco Chronicle has set up a dedicated iPhone page. There’s a link there to a survey saying “2 of out of 3 people” have heard of the iPhone. Now, does that include children under the age of two?
- Interview with the first guy in line at the New York Apple Store.
- A third person has joined the line in front of the New York Apple Store. Dang this could have been a reality television show.
- Photographs and brief article of the folks waiting in line at both New York stores. Seems like there are three people at each.
- One person in line at the SOHO Apple Store is doing it for charity.
- Newsweek review. Highlights: battery works well. Setup is a snap. Easy to use. Keyboard isn’t ideal but he’s getting used to it.
- USA Today review. Highlights: Looks great. Again, keyboard isn’t ideal. Thankful for the WiFi because the AT&T EDGE network ain’t so fast.
- Hire this, or this, or this, or this, or this, or this (just look for yourself at all the nutty people) person to wait in line for you. Seems like it’ll be at least $100 - $200.
- A whitetail deer reviews the iPhone. Highlights: YouTube videos. Negative: most deers don’t have $600 bucks lying around.
- Glen Fishman of the New York Post recommends not getting the iPhone.
- Jason Calacanis said he’s definitely getting an iPhone, based on Walt Mossberg’s positive review.
That’s it for now.
Disclosure: I own a tiny amount of Apple stock.

I loved reading through that post about all of the hype and then seeing the disclosure
I hope you’ve checked to see if ‘iSmudginator’ is an available domain, too!
Alright, I’ll admit it. I spent way too long playing iSmudginator. My favorite quote from the sfgate.com article-> “I’ve met some incredible people waiting on line,” Clayman said. “When are you going to get an experience like this?”
Makes me laugh every time.
Heh yeah the disclosure I suppose keeps me somewhat clean - although pretty much anybody who reads more than one post on this blog would realize I’m rather an Apple fanatic.
iSmudginator is funny I’m glad you both liked it. Actually I found it after the other links but since it was the most entertaining I put it on top of the list!
