Watch Sicko at Google Video

June 18th, 2007

Michael Moore’s Sicko is sneaking around the Internet, and if you don’t to do the Torrent method, here’s a streaming option at Google Video. It may not be around for long, so check it out if you can.

Personally, I think the most ridiculous aspect about health care in America is that it’s tied to your employer. People feel like they have to have a certain kind of job to have decent health insurance. Sicko also points out that even if you think you have a good insurance, you don’t really know until it’s been tested. Then there are the 50 million people in America with no health insurance who live a life in fear that they’ll fall ill or have an accident.

The insurance companies, with their strange formulas and rules meant for reducing costs basically seem to be practicing medicine without a license.

Update: Unfortunately Google Video and YouTube have taken the film down. Bummer. Well I suppose I’ll just have to watch it in the theater. In the meantime, here’s the trailer:

Update #2: Try this site – might be able to download it there.

Update #3: Finally watched the whole movie. Please read my largely positive review of Sicko.
