Good mention of using WordPress instead of SMF. I'm not familiar with SMF so setting it would have entailed learning it, which I wanted to do but in the interest of time savings, I could set up another wordpress site way faster. With both of my blogs I am finding things about the current themes that either irritate me or downright bug the hell out of me :) On the good side I think I found one for WinExtra that with my limited php knowledge and fair to middlin' CSS ability I can finally whip into something I will like all around. As for your mention of SMF for the bottle cap site - I run SMF for the WinExtra Community forums but have noticed some nice looking WordPress forum plugins come available ... maybe look at those as an alternative - one way to maintain theme consistency.
