My guess of why that is is because such songs as these are more immediately appreciable to any listerner new to Radiohead, they therefore must be deemed by the 'true' Radiohead elite fan as being of less value. If we were talking about songs like "Creep" or "High and Dry", I would agree. But these songs are clearly not the same. And based on Thom's clearly evident love for one of them (Where I end and you begin) in the "Live from the Basement" performance, where right after finishing the song he jokingly asks, "Can we do that again?", I think he too might disagree with your rating.
