WaterField Designs Announces The Sling Bag
Ah okay, since today is shameless plug day, here’s another one. My wife works for WaterField Designs, a local San Francisco maker of laptop bags and Apple peripheral bags.
For toting my MacBook to and from work, I’ve been using this laptop sleeve case with a shoulder strap and a “piggy back” bag that hangs over the sleeve case. You can fit your laptop related stuff in the “piggy back” bag, like a power adapter or an iPod. I think it’s pretty handy.

Probably the best part about WaterField bags is their high quality. Meaning, the seams don’t start unravelling or the bag falls apart after every day wear and tear. I think I’ve been using some of them for over a year and haven’t seen a single loose thread.
Anyhow, they just announced a different type of bag: a Sling Bag. It’s versatile “carry all” one that’s weather-resistant and can fit a surprising amount of gear in it.
Here’s some information from the press release:
WaterField Designs, a leading maker of bags and custom-fitted cases for digital gear, introduces a stylish and versatile tote to meet the needs of busy, fashion-conscious consumers. The colorful Sling Bag is available in three sizes and functions as a work, travel, gym, diaper or day bag. The new bag is fashioned from a unique metallic-like material and is available in five vibrant colors.
And lastly, here’s a link to Waterfield Designs and the Sling Bag.
So that’s about it for Impromptu Shameless Plug day, I’ll soon return to regularly scheduled programming. But first, a word from our sponsor:
Disclosure: I own a tiny amount of Apple stock.
