Some Japan Trip Photos
This is the best of the batch, and covers our trip through Tokyo, the Hakone area, and Kyoto. Photographs of individuals are absent to protect the innocent from embarrassment. But hopefully there’s some good scenic eye candy to chew on.

Jase, I really enjoyed the food porn. Those cakes in the train station look awesome. The tofu plate looks delish. Fish market? Those scallops look fresh enough to hold a conversation with you. Btw, what are we looking at in pic #3? Is that seaweed or really teensy fishlets?

Hey Dave - I’m pretty sure those cakes are plastic to top it off - lots of plastic food in the displays. And yeah the thingies in the third pic are really tiny baby fish. They seem to end up as a garnish on stuff. At the inn, we had a dish that seemed to be daikon, wasabi, and some of those fish things mixed in.
Oh damn, I forgot that the Japanese are the masters of the fake food displays
I’ve been fooled!
Actually Dave I’m sure that’s part of the intent to fool people with the fake food, so I wouldn’t feel bad. I got hungry looking at the fake plastic beef curry.
