BTW, it was only intended as a 16 or 17 episode series, I believe that's how McGoohan wanted it. And it does get a LOT more bizarre as it goes on -- but, hey, it was the '60s and weird was cool. Get this -- The Village is actually a Welsh resort called Portmeirion: http://www.portmeirion-village.com/ You can go there! It's a trip I've wanted to do since I was a kid. I love everything about the show, including the music. My favorite episode is Hammer Into Anvil, Patrick Cargill is great as the paranoid #2. I finished watching the DVD boxset over the weekend and it gets a bit ridiculous toward the end. I think 17 episodes are a few too many!
