Gilmore Girls: Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore?

Hmm, are the writers on the show picking up on one of the major complaints regarding this season? At one point, Lorelai tells Rory to not worry about her informational interview with someone from the New York Times, because her rapid fire witty banter will win them over. Is the banter back? Can Paul Anka reverse-jump the shark?

One improvement is the return of the loony Stars Hollow residents. This time, the occasion to rally ’round is Lane’s baby shower. There’s a bit of a tiff between Lane and her mom that Lorelai is called to mediate. Kirk also gets some screen time as the buyer of Luke’s boat.

Meanwhile, Logan – after coming home drunk – admits to Rory that he blew all his money including lots from various investors, on an Internet company.

So back to the Luke and Lorelai thing. Well, Mr. Flannel buys a new boat that he hopes April and him can enjoy together. Lorelai finds this a bit odd, as one contention in their relationship was Luke’s unwillingness to move his old boat that was taking up her garage. Luke says, “Well, things change.” Does this mean they have potential, after the firm, final words earlier this season and Christopher’s moronic exit? Lorelai closes the scene with a big grin on her face.

Note: It seems Gilmore Girls might be a go for an eighth season. I’m pretty ambivalent. I think I’ll sit it out if so.

Darn! We are just getting used to Lorelai’s marriage to Christopher and now you tell me it’s a passing thing?
Thanks for passing by my bloglog, I’ll add you if you don’t mind.

Yeah the show has been strange this season. I’ve had mixed feelings about many of the episodes.
