Seriously, I always recommend buying Applecare for portables. They&#039;re subjected to many more rigors than a desktop and the components are expensive to replace. You&#039;ll get more than your money&#039;s worth if you have your &#039;book serviced just once.  My current Powerbook has had its display replaced twice and its Superdrive replaced at no cost to me, thanks to AC. It&#039;s definitely worth it.

As for losing drafts, I started using Google Docs while writing. Auto-save and off-site storage ensures that nothing unseemly happens to my work. Plus I can login from whatever computer I happen to be near whenever I have some thoughts to jot down.

Technically, you can post straight to your blog from inside G.Docs, but it doesn&#039;t offer fine control over formatting.</description>
