Digg Test: Apple Should Hire Paris Hilton

So this is funny – blogger Didn’t You Hear took up my suggestion that if you wanted a front page Digg, write a post with a link bait title like: Top Ten Reasons Why Apple Should Hire Paris Hilton.

It’s a funny post, plus there are tons of pictures, some custom-made. This increases the diggability greatly. I might have added the thought: “Apple iPhone: So easy to use, even Paris gets it.”

Right now it’s at 5 diggs. I’m keeping an eye on this one.

  • Thanks for the link. I liked your idea so much, I figured I might as well do it and see if it works. I actually Photoshopped every image but the Carl's Jr. one to give each one a little Apple flavor, so see if you can spot the changes. I like the iPhone reference, and was going to add something similar, I'm just pretty sure Paris is hooked to her Sidekick like life support, so I left that one out. Thanks again though.
  • Cool. We'll see what happens. It took me a while to find the right combination of clickability, humor, and sheer stupidity to get a front page digg.
  • Rats, it petered out at 14 diggs. Well, that's actually pretty good for a first attempt!
