2007: Boom Or Doom?
Seeing the Dow dropping like a rock today nudged me to revisit my 2007 predictions of Boom or Doom I wrote a few months ago. It’s certainly too early to tell what we’re in for this year (as it should be, since it’s only March).
Anyhow, here we go:
Evidence for Doom: Google stock isn’t anywhere near $100, and war with Iran is looking more likely.
Evidence for Boom: “You” and by inference, YouTube, was TIME’s person of the year for 2006. I’ve also seen some articles posturing The Bay Area as The Place To Be.
I certainly hope YouTube wasn’t the peak. Maybe the sale of Facebook can inspire some froth.
I’ll do my part by having some Amici’s pizza tonight.
