Battlestar Galactica: Who’s The Cylon?
February 17th, 2007
Parislemon has a good post with some thoughts as to who might be revealed to be a Cylon in the next episodes of Season 3.
It’s been rumored that one of the Galactica crew members will be revealed to be a toaster before the end of the season.
It seems like Starbuck was fingered with those sketches of the Eye of Jupiter, but another rumor claims it’s not her.
I don’t think it’s Gaius Baltar. Anybody with a kid is probably out, too (we don’t need more Cylon-human hybrids). So there goes Chief and Callie. Helo we know for sure isn’t, as the baby is definitely a Cylon-human hybrid. Tigh, he drinks way too much. Wouldn’t all that liquor short circuit a Cylon? He led the resistance. And then, why would he give a frak if Ellen slept with a Cylon?
My bets are on Apollo, Gaeta, or Dualla.
With Apollo, there was an episode where the Cylon who got shoved out the airlock said “Adama is a Cylon” to Rosyln. At the time, it seemed like he was talking about Commander Adama. But it could have been Lee (this a theory of a co-worker of mine). There’s also a whole blog that is sure Lee Adama is a Cylon.
With Gaeta, he’s always been kind of mysterious. He doesn’t have any romantic attachments. What does he do in his spare time? Besides hang with Baltar?
Dualla, she acts like a robot already. Plus, if she were a Cylon, that would provide an easy end to the love square going on.
Anyhow, my last offering on this subject are some random polls. Check out this one. It looks like a tie between Gaeta and Tigh. Meanwhile, This poll offers up Baltar, Gaeta, and Dualla.
Note: So I set up a poll of my own – to the right are a bunch of characters to choose from. I’ll leave this poll up there until the end of the season just to see how it develops.
The only other possibility is that logic will completely be defied in order to provide a totally crazy season finale. Remember how stunningly nuts the season finale of Season Two was. It’s possible the show will take another absolutely insane turn, and out one of the big cheeses as a Cylon: Commander Adama or Roslyn. That would be totally mind bending – but possibly exactly what this show needs to keep us on the edge of our seats for Season 4.
