MyCatBlogLog.

Okay, I can’t keep this under wraps any longer.

After the end of 2000 bloggers I was sort of mulling about a way to form a blog network without having the link thing be a problem on Technorati. One solution, suggested by //engtech was to do it in Flash. So I decided to experiment with a silly page featuring MyBlogLog bloggers with cat avatars.

Why? Because cats are cute, and cat avatars are cuter still, so possibly page with tons of cat avatars would be a cute explosion on the order of furry and fuzzy.

The other loose joke is that one of the founders of MyBlogLog (Scott Rafer) has a connection to Dogster and Catster, so this is kind of a satirical exploration if Catster merged with MyBlogLog.

So without further ado, here’s the funnest web portal for cats: MyCatBlogLog.

It has cuddly cat links (which I’m thinking should be a tag cloud). The centerpiece is a Flash entryway to all the MyBlogLog users with cat avatars.

Honestly, I wanted to work on this some more, but events recently have prompted me to announce this sooner than later.

I know I’m tempting the ire of dog lovers everywhere; hopefully TechCrunch isn’t one of them (I think I’ve seen some doggy avatars floating around). Of course, when I’m done with MyCatBlogLog, it won’t be hard to repurpose this stuff for MyDogBlogLog.
