Then you can schedule routine backups of your sql db without having to remember to do it. I set up a gmail account for the express purpose of receiving daily backups from the handful of wordpress sites I manage. I sort of thought about how terrible it would be to lose everything after all the posts. Sometimes that sort of "worst case scenario" thinking inspires me to take action.
