Happy New Year: Webomatica Top Posts Of 2006

Happy 2007! Here’s hoping it will be an even better year than 2006. An easy way to celebrate and look back on the year that was is this list of the Top 10 Webomatica posts of 2006. By doing this, I’ll clear the rolls and there will likely be some new stuff on the Top Posts page for 2007.

1. Seemingly Stupid Apple Moves That Were Actually Brilliant

This post marked my first experience with the digg effect, resulting in my site being shut down for a whole day, back in October.

This post marked my second experience with the digg effect, resulting in my site being shut down again (in the same weekend), back in October.

3. Deconstructing Sesame Street Animations

I wrote this post in the last week of December. Due to the “Shoutwire Effect” it blasted past the Apple = Cat post from October. Crazy stuff.

4. Apple = Cat, PC = Dog

Pretty much everyone has an opinion regarding a cats, dogs, PCs, or Macs.

5. Movie Notes: When Hot Actresses Go Ugly

This was sadly, total pandering but it worked to some degree. Many people search for hot actresses.

6. Music Notes: Best and Worst Bond Songs

I’m glad this post made it up so far on this list, as I spent a while researching it.

7. Movie Notes: When Great Actors Go Flabby (Or Skinny)

After watching The Machinist I had to write this corny, movie trivia post.

8. Is Battlestar Galactica Getting Too Political?

Battlestar Galactica is an awesome sci-fi show, but after the premiere of season three, I wondered if they went too far with the Iraq war analogies.

9. You Tube Break: Shoes

Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. I’m not surprised this video is so popular, but I don’t know why people come here to watch it.

10. Digg Strikes Back: Webomatica Destroyed… Again

This post documented my double-digging weekend of pain.
