Reddit Acquired

Wow, this kind of came out of the blue. Conde Nast/Wired has acquired Reddit, according to TechCrunch.
I’ve poked around reddit and I have to admit, it took me a while to get used to it and how they do things, but its scaled back design and “just the stories” approach are pretty cool. It’s kind of like digg gone through a Craigslist filter. As a result there are a lot more stories that one can scan quickly and comment on.
Another neat tidbit is that there are only four employees. Impressive.
I’m sure we’ll see many more Web 2.0 acquisitions in the months to come.
