Webomatica Traffic

October 11th, 2006

WebomaticaEvery once in a while I pop into Technorati and Alexa to see if anybody’s reading my random shouts into the blogosphere, and today was a bit of an odd surpise.

Technorati ranks this blog as 263,547, far higher than last I checked. According to Alexa, today Webomatica crossed over the 100,000 mark to 74,973. Webomatica.com has never been on the chart before (nothing under 100,000 is charted) so I was surprised to see that. If true, it’s all the fault of Paris Hilton, Apple Computer, and Battlestar Galactica. At least I can add two more semi-respectable topics to that embarassing list…

So feeling pretty lucky, I went on over to Pingoat and entered the Webomatica blog URL into the blog worth evaluator. The result:

$67.69.

That sucks! I thought I could do better. I found another blog evaluator at the Business Opportunities Weblog. This evaluation is supposedly based on a dollar-to-link ratio based on the price AOL spent to buy Weblogs Inc. from Jason Calacanis (Juicy web 2.0 valuation there). The result:

$5,080.86.

Sweet! That’s enough to buy some new Mac computers or one month’s mortgage for a house in San Francisco. At this rate, I’ll be able to retire sometime around 2067. Amici’s pizza, here I come.
