Yet Another YouTube Post
One mentioned barrier to a YouTube acquisition has been the copyright issues. Well, it looks like these pieces are falling into place this week, as YouTube has locked in some more content agreements with major media companies. Seems like the timing is just right before being bought out, possibly today, I’m guessing sometime this week.
I’m still rooting for Google as hopefully they’ll keep YouTube running more or less as it is today. Plus with all their servers they have the best shot at solving YouTube’s bandwidth expenses.
Some of the most blatant copyright violations like whole movies and television shows have to go, but hopefully they’ll find a way to keep showing music videos and commercials. That plus the original content I imagine will keep the traffic coming to YouTube.
