Thanks for visiting Elias C. If you don't share my sense of humor I guess this blog just isn't for you.

Consider that one reason why some of us started blogging is reading ridiculous articles online and becoming angry. I'd love it if you were so angered by what you read here, that you decided to start a blog. Then keep at it for about a year and see how you fare under the withering comments from 35 thousand random visitors a month :)

Thanks for visiting and commenting, it keeps me amused.

So, according to this article I'm a jock, with a love for loud environments where I can be hyper-social. Yep, you've got me (and all my mac-owning/cat owning friends) to a tee.

Wow, this Xmas I was planning on getting an MBP, but its snottiness like this that makes me want to get a Dell instead. Will I, by buying a Mac, make articles that reek of "I know bestest" attitude and general high-nosed arrogance like this one. I mean, yes, I know this was meant to be funny, but generalization after generalization begins to grind on even the most light hearted soul after a while. By the end of it I had been almost completely turned off buying a Mac for good.

I have both a cat and a dog, the cat is more needy, more attention hungry, and sometimes louder. Its also had more health problems (at least so far, touch wood) and has managed to make me very angry on more than one occasion. Would you care to metaphor that into an article?

Oh, and that classic Mac=Democratic, PC =Republican in the comments, thats just plain insulting. How about we get away from the hilarious generalizations made here and dare to presume that people get what they want, and what works for them. I know, wild!

Wow, I really should not have come here...I knew it would just make me angry.

Hi Alex, that's cool - I have gotten a lot of responses saying they don't really agree with my half baked analogy. Maybe the true question is if Steve Jobs owns a cat or a dog? And what about Bill Gates?

Je suis a major major MAJOR cat lover. I believe myself creative and artistic, too. Completely. Yet...the computer I am typing this on is...A PC?
What?
I know, I am a contradiction. But I also mention, Macs are sleek and works of art, like cats. Also the noises Macs make (those bubble sounds) are more pleasing to the ear, like meows, than the clonking noises (that loud EHH sound) of a PC, like a dog's violent bark.
Yeah, thassit.

Heh... I use a PC at work and a Mac at home too, so I'm a "fence-straddler". However only get the warm cuddly feeling from the Mac. I've also been bitten several times, badly, by a PC.

[...] Technorati ranks this blog as 263,547, far higher than last I checked. According to Alexa, today Webomatica crossed over the 100,000 mark to 74,973. Webomatica.com has never been on the chart before (nothing under 100,000 is charted) so I was surprised to see that. If true, it’s all the fault of Paris Hilton, Apple Computer, and Battlestar Galactica. At least I can add two more semi-respectable topics to that embarassing list… So feeling pretty lucky, I went on over to Pingoat and entered the Webomatica blog URL into the blog worth evaluator.
[...] For the past two weeks, I’ve been posting more regularly in a shameless attempt to drive more traffic to this blog and it’s worked out well. I was admittedly rather annoyed that my Paris Hilton entries were getting so much attention, so I decided to challenge myself and blow them off my logs with Apple = Cat, PC = Dog. Well, it worked, but now I’m wondering if I’ll ever come up with something better. Maybe my best days are behind me… [...]

being happy with a pc is like being happy with a Ford Taurus....being happy with a mac is like being happy with a Ferrari that never breaks down!

Chris: yeah, I'm sure there will be exceptions to this analogy. I'm just kind of poking fun at the whole Mac vs. Pc thing.

What?!?! And here I thought I was really a dog guy all these years? Doh! (disclaimer: I'm a mac guy).

Dogs also like to hump our leg, but I'm not really sure where that fits into this analogy.

Hahaha. Clever. :)

But I've been a Mac user since I was a very young (LC II with a IIe card!!), as are all of my immediate family members. We've also had 4 dogs, including the two we currently have. The picture of the hunter could, for better or worse, be my father, a die-hard Mac user since the days of his first IIe.

Possibly Macs can be be either, as those Mac Pros are"reeking of raw, virile number-crunching power." And Macs are social ( out of the box, Macs can talk to PCs a heck of a lot better than PCs can talk to Macs).
