Webomatica’s Most Popular Posts
September 27th, 2006
Since I don’t have all that much to write about today, I thought I’d just share some general thoughts on the blogging experience.
About two weeks ago I decided to experiment with writing more often (at least twice a day) to see if I could get an increase in traffic. Well, it worked.
However, looking over my logs yesterday, I was a bit dismayed to see that the most popular posts are not the ones I put the most effort into. It’s hard to shake the feeling that nobody cares about my thoughtful series on Perfect Songs or my movie and music reviews. Because, here are the top three Webomatica blog posts as of today:
3. iTunes 7.0 First Impressions. Maybe it’s the pictures, or the timing, but I was a bit glad to see many people are interested in iTunes 7.0. I’ve had a stable experience with the program, and it looks like today Apple released a newer version for those who are experiencing problems.
2. YouTube Break: Shoes. I’m a little annoyed that this is the second most popular post on Webomatica. It’s a just a link to a YouTube video of some nutbag shopping for shoes and going ballistic.
1. Paris Hilton the Link Magnet. I guess I was asking for it when I posted a link to an article calling Paris Hilton the ultimate website. In the past week or so that it’s been on my blog, this post about Paris Hilton has garnered more hits than any other post.
Excuse me while I wash off that bleach bottle blonde feeling. Maybe I should review Paris’ new album.
