Battlestar Galactica: Free iTunes Recap

The iTunes Store is offering a free Battlestar Galactica Recap episode, that is basically summarizing all of the previous episodes in preparation for season three, which starts in early October. I’m pretty psyched for this new season, where everything has been shaken around.

It’s pretty amazing that this 40 or so minute episode is able to summarize the entirety of what’s gone on so far in a pretty efficient and coherent manner. It concentrates on the relationships between the Cylons and the humans. But this recap episode is a great way to get people up to speed, including myself, that need a review of the over-arching story lines before we plunge back in.

We still haven’t signed up for cable, so I’m planning on watching Battlestar Galactica purely through iTunes downloads. I’m really thankful Apple is putting this show online. It’s also pretty cool to see new media distribution methods augmenting the old, and vice versa.
